Celebrated Israeli writer David Grossman’s latest novel, To the End of the Land, continues to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that he has written about in other books, such as his 2003 collection of journalism, Death as a Way of Life, and The Yellow Wind, a nonfiction study of Palestinians living in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. In author Colm Toibin’s words, in To the End of the Land, Grossman “has created a panorama of breathtaking emotional force, a masterpiece of pacing, of dedicated storytelling…This is one of those few novels that feel as though they have made a difference to the world.”
